thats the best that I can come up with Jos i'm afraid , there is pictures of the old stand at WLP down the bottom of the page and there is a picture of the stand at Jubillee Park as well.

there are house on Jubilee Park now but there are still signs of the fact that was a football  ground there.

as for Havant Towns ground that now is OUR ground

sorry Jos , but The Scrapyard is one of the poorer grounds in the league.

I think Staines is the only other ground without any terracing behind the goal, but is aided by having a decent terrace down one side.

the sight line along the side at your place are ok if youre on the barrier, appalling if youre not.

you built a stand that didn't have enough seats for the level of football you wanted to get into and ended up with that horrible mish mash effort at the M27, where you have seats that the view is obscured by the goal net.

the cover only the side of your ground is closer to the pitch at WLP than it is to yours :-) and if you actually stand under it youre lower down than if you stand on the barrier.

i'll give you the fact that it looks very nice from the outside but "fur coat no knickers" springs to mind.

I admire TSSC efforts to improve the ground but at present you must admit that it it is not "not bad" in fact its pretty awful.

imo probably the second worst in the league with only Weston behind it.

This isn't a "have a go at Eastleigh" post its just my opinion on your ground.

I prefer the more old fashioned style grounds , my personal favourite is Bromley , although Bath , Worcester and Hayes were up there in the past.

And I have to say that by no stretch of the imagination is yours the worst ever in this league , in the early days there were some absolute shockers like Redbridge and Grays.

Ade's postings are only tongue in cheek so I wouldn't get to upset with them and as for "Nath" he's just a kid who doesn't know how to banter.

I agree with alot of what your saying mark but concidering the length of time we;ve been at this level, our ground has improved alot.yes there is a long way to go and terracing is a must "around" the ground.but that cost alot of cash which we don't have.most of the ground i've been to are very old but with great view points, give the club time and it will happen(FACUP RUNS HELP)westleigh park is just as much a scrap yard metal terracing but with alot more concrete to stand on.

firstly Jos the vast majority of our ground was done years before the cup run.The stand and both ends were rebuilt during the summer of 2001.
what we did was extend the stand and cover the far side after our cup run.

secondly there is no metal terracing at WLP, I presume your refering to the sort of "temporary" type terracing in place at certain grounds like Chelmsford , its all concrete in metal framework.ie permanent.

thirdly we refer to your ground as "the scrapyard stadium" because thats who sponsors it , nothing to do with the state of it.

many clubs have managed to improve their spectator facilities over the past 5 or 6 years whereas yours have improved at a lesser pace, we all know money is tight but perhaps your previous hierarchy invested in the team rather than facilities ?

what i'm saying is that "the amount of time " you've been playing at this level shouldn't be an excuse for not having a decent viewing ground because you've been playing at "this level" a lot longer than plenty of other clubs in the division who have far superior viewing facilities.

Braintree have managed to improve their ground immensley whilst still competing at the top end of the divivsion on smaller crowds than yours, so it can be done.

I ment theperimiter fence around the stadium coregatted with concrete base.just need a few 1,000 tones of concrete.
Any way with your height you should have no prob watching games.

I noticed on our front page it says seats 175 that should say 500.350 main stand 150 behind goal which is the lge regulation one day we might exstend our stand.like yourselfs
What i,m saying is that it has taken your club a long time to get where you are today playing at at higher standard for many years,we'll be in the same possition after 10/15 years to i hope
